Therapeutic fostering isn’t about becoming a therapist, it’s a way of therapeutically parenting a child or young person who missed out on healthy emotional development and milestones in their early years.
The overriding objective of evolve, is to focus all of our professional operations and administrative systems on securing highly successful personal, social and psychological outcomes for all children and young people placed with us.
The services we provide very much reflects our priorities and aspirations for children and young people.
The support to foster carers has a therapeutic approach embedded and you will receive enhanced training and support to develop your therapeutic skills and knowledge.
We have a multi disciplinary team to support you directly and listen to the needs of both yourselves as foster carers and your children and young persons. We can shape together the overall best support to help children and young persons achieve happiness and positive outcomes.
The team is supported by Connect B4 Correct which is designed around a trauma-informed therapeutic care approach that supports the delivery of bespoke mental health assessments, clinical services, training, and direct work.
Why is therapeutic fostering important?
It is most important to help deliver the best outcomes for children and young persons – but increasingly this is where Local Authorities are looking for support from independent fostering agencies and their foster carers. With your approval with Evolve, you will be well placed to secure a matched child and young person in your care.
Foster carers that have transferred to receive therapeutic support have commented:
“We felt undervalued and unsupported at our previous agency. Since transferring to evolve we receive unlimited support and quality and meaningful supervision”
